ABOUT
Blair Franklin is a Los Angeles–based writer-director and founder of Mookpark Entertainment, creating psychological horror, dark thrillers, and character-driven genre films.
Raised in the San Francisco East Bay Area, in a suburb of Oakland, Blair always felt like an outsider who never quite fit in. That perspective continues to shape his work, which often explores vulnerability, obsession, and the darker undercurrents of human behavior.
A graduate of UC Santa Barbara’s Film Studies program, Blair began his career in independent film, commercials, and music videos before building a two-decade career in unscripted television production and casting. His credits include work for ABC, NBC, Netflix, MTV, Bravo, History, Discovery, National Geographic, CMT, and others.

THE FILMS
His narrative work includes a contemporary adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart, created as his senior thesis film at UCSB; the 35mm noir short A Kiss for Friday; the horror short Forever, which screened at festivals nationwide; and Tender Objects (2026), a contained psychological horror film exploring obsession, desire, and control.
Across his films, Blair returns to characters confronting vulnerability, obsession, dread, and the darker impulses that shape how they see themselves. Through Mookpark Entertainment, he develops intimate gothic horror about people who see themselves as monsters and struggle to understand who they really are.
THE MOOKPARK STORY

It all began in Isla Vista, California, while Blair was studying film at UC Santa Barbara. The place he shared with roommates was dubbed Mookpark—an invented name that came to mean everyone was welcome, as long as they came as they were and embraced the revelry of communal discovery. The property became more than just a house; it became the creative epicenter for a widening circle of friends and artistic collaborators drawn to wild, uninhibited, adventurous experiences. Out of that spirit, Mookpark Entertainment was born.
While still in Isla Vista, Mookpark’s inaugural production, Night of the Clowns, brought the whole crew together to make their first film as a creative collective. Years later, their friendships have grown closer and their skills have sharpened, but their instinct remains the same—to chase the shadows into the darkness and explore what lives deep within us all.
At Mookpark, dreams become nightmares and nightmares become dreams. You never know which until you step inside.
