DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
Tender Objects grew out of my fascination with the quiet horror of intimacy — how longing, control, and the need to be seen can slip into obsession. Set over one night, in one room, at one table, the film strips away distraction and lets the smallest gestures carry threat. I wanted to explore desire as something people try to possess and control rather than simply feel, and to let the tension between vulnerability and dominance emerge through restraint rather than spectacle.
CAST
ELLE HARTMAN — Amora
Elle Hartman is a classically trained actress whose screen work spans film and television. She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), with recent credits including Khloé, Tyrannosaurus, and In Ink Loved, for which she received a Best Supporting Actress nomination from the SacTown Movie Buffs Film Festival. In Tender Objects, Hartman portrays Amora with a balance of charisma, calculation, and psychological depth.
CHRISTOPHER LAWRIE — Davis
Christopher Lawrie is a SAG-eligible actor and mixed-media artist drawn to psychologically charged stories exploring danger, desire, and discomfort. Recent screen credits include Polter-Guest and Tooth Jerry. In Tender Objects, Lawrie stars as Davis, using restraint and precision to balance menace with vulnerability and allow the character’s darker impulses to emerge gradually. He is represented by WORK! Talent in Los Angeles.
